Second Annual JETLAG TV Awards

Hosted by Lexi Wilkins and Jonathan Clark, Tte second annual Jetlag TV Awards was the first live award show held by Jetlag TV. February 17, 2018, the awards were held at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg South Carolina featuring, NGeeYL, Dammy 864, and more. Jetlag TV put together a great show with performances from Slime Dollaz, Days on 85, Dammy 864, and NGeeYL. Along with those performances, Ennvision premiered the second rendition of Upstate Uncut featuring Pressure ENT., along with the latest Upstate Cypher performed live at the awards.

The Upstate Cypher was an All-Star cypher that showcased five artist who were delivered the top tier verses for the prior episodes of the Upstate Cypher. The All-Star Cypher included Luck, Poetic Peez, Astronaut Scott, King Elvis, and Tariq.

Awards were taking away by numerous South Carolina stars at the Chapman Cultural Center. Pressure Ent.’s Luck and Dammy tallied four overall awards together. Luck won ‘Best Solo Mixtape‘ for his project “L.U.C.K: Live Under Constant Knowledge,” and ‘Video of the Year‘ for his visual for “Harley 96.” Dammy 864 won Awards for ‘Best Group‘ and ‘Best Group Mixtape‘ for Effects of Dammy. 

Suixide Squad’s NGeeYL, Slime Dollaz, and JBillz took home 4 awards collectively as well. NGeeYL won ‘Best Single‘ for his song “Torch” and ‘Best Solo Artist‘. JBillz and and Slime Dollaz won ‘Best Collab‘ for “Stixkz N Beamz” along with Dollaz grabbing ‘Top New Artist’.

Others that were rewarded for the night included Jordan Easler winning ‘Graphic Designer of the Year‘, Dre Clark winning ‘Trapper of the Year‘ and ‘DJ of the Year‘ and Shawn Scrilla winning ‘Sleeper of the Year‘. Savani and Jetsonmade also took home ‘Videographer of the Year‘ and ‘Producer of the Year‘. Our high school and college ‘Athletes of the Year‘, Zion Williamson and Deebo Samuel repeated their awards from last year. TTO/Journey Clothing also took home ‘Clothing Line of the Year‘.

This year, Jetlag TV decided to reward an individual who has done their due diligence in the community. We awarded Fredrick Reeves, aka Son of Ice, the ‘Community Award‘ for the work that he has done throughout the year using his dancing and musician skills to influence the youth.
