Preseason Predictions: NBA Awards

The JETLAG staff gets together to predict the NBA awards for the 2017-18 season.  The NBA Season is among us, and it’s fair to say that this year is going to be one that is really exciting to watch. From the “super teams” that are forming, such as the Cavs, Warriors, and Thunder, to the young teams with lots of potential like the Lakers, Timberwolves, and Kings, NBA fans are in for a treat.

Though the NBA season can be completely unpredictable, we as sports fans still want to give our two cents on how we think the NBA season and awards will go. Here is our take on who we believe will take the big superlatives this year.

Brandon:

Rookie of the Year: Markelle Fultz

Defensive Player of the Year: Rudy Gobert

Sixth Man of the Year: Eric Gordon

Coach of the Year: Brad Stevens

Scoring Champ: Kyrie Irving

Most Improved: D’Angelo Russell

MVP: Lebron James

Rookie of the Year:   Ben Simmons

Defensive Player of the Year: Rudy Gobert

Sixth Man of the Year: Lou Williams

Coach of the Year: Brad Stevens
