For years college and professional championship winners have been awarded a visit to the White House. Although the offer is almost a once in a life time chance, not everyone is interested.
Shortly after clinching their fifth franchise championship, the Warriors announced that they will not be attending their White House visit.
Although many championship teams had players who didn’t want to meet President Trump, the Warriors are the first team to actually decline the visit. The Chicago Cubs were lucky enough to scheldule an early visit after they won while President Obama was still in office.

Many fans are bashing the Warriors for visiting Obama and not Trump. However, as now the Warriors will not be attending.
