Last night during the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, so many artists were in attendance, but the artists that made the most impact throughout the night were The Big 3. Whenever they’re in the building together, it’s impossible for you to not gravitate your attention towards them, because they definitely demand it.
Last night was a great night for Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. Not only did Drake deliver an astounding performance that sets the bar at an all time high, but the Queen of rap herself Nicki Minaj, opened the show with a medley of her most recent hits. Nicki gave a mini concert when she brought out Jason Derulo for “Swalla,” David Guetta for “Light My Body Up,” and Lil Wayne for “No Frauds”. The only song she performed on her own was her song, “Regret In Your Tears,” which she looked absolutely amazing. From the big screen showing during the background of her performance to the outfit changes, she came through and swept the crowd off of their feet, as they stood for her during a standing ovation. Check out the queen’s performance below:

After Nicki’s performance, Drake came and shut the show down like no other could. Dressed in all white with his hype man on the side of him, Drake performed one of his fan-favorites off of the playlist More Life, “Gyalchester” surrounded by water from the famed Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas, with fire shooting through midair during the performance. His label mate Nicki Minaj even tweeted about his performance. View the tweet below:

Not only were the performances something to remember from last night’s event, one of Drake’s most memorable speeches that stood out the most, was when he thanked his mentor Lil Wayne for the opportunity of allowing him to bless the world with his talent, as far as music goes. He also acknowledged the situation with Meek Mill and Drake that kept Nicki and him apart from each other for quite some time. He said to her in front of everyone while accepting his award, “I’m so glad we found our way back, because I love you and I could never ever ever see it any other way.” See the post below:

Drake also brought the whole team up on stage with him when he won the award for Top Artist, including his father. See the photo below:
All in all, last night was a night remember for The Big 3, and everyone is excited about what they have been cooking up together in the studio. It’s only a matter of time until new music drops, because Nicki’s new album is on the way, including Lil Wayne’s. Until then, it’s always nice seeing billboard’s MVPs come together and shut it down. Hopefully we’ll see them at this year’s BET Awards next month.
