Clash of the Carolinas?

With the Final Four quickly approaching, it is hard not to wonder if we will see a battle against the Carolinas in the National Championship. South Carolina continues on their historic run after defeating Florida in the Elite Eight 77-70 and North Carolina pulled off a nail biter after Luke Maye hit a last second shot to defeat Kentucky 75-73.

Gonzaga however, has been picked as the tournament favorite by most experts but I would have to disagree with that. USC has been playing their best basketball and they seem to get better every game. They smother teams with their unrelentless defense and their star, Sindarius Thornwell has been unstoppable.

UNC on the other hand, I would say is expected to be where they are now, after losing in the National Championship last year to Villanova off of a buzzer beater. They are seeking redemption as this is the second year in a row the Tar Heels have earned a No. 1 seed. North Carolina is the most experienced team left in the tournament and have players such as Kennedy Meeks and Justin Jackson who could easily take over a game.

The final four starts off Saturday evening in Phoenix at 6:09pm with South Carolina facing off against Gonzaga, followed by Oregon vs North Carolina at 8:49pm. I predict South Carolina over Gonzaga and North Carolina over Oregon in the Final Four leaving us to witness a USC vs UNC show down in the National Championship. What are your predictions?
