Cinderella dances on! Or should I say SINderella dances on! The South Carolina Gamecocks have made history by the reaching the Final Four for the very first time. Led by South Carolina’s very own Sindarius Thornwell, the Gamecocks took down the Florida Gators 77-70.
Thornwell scored 26 points shooting 8/13 from the field and 9/10 from the free throw line.
The Gamecocks trailed at halftime but their stifling defense and the exceptional play by their star player Thornwell, was no match for the Gators.
Sindarius Thornwell now has 103 points in this years NCAA Tournament which is the 6th most an SEC player has ever scored. This is nothing new to Sindarius, as he was also named the SEC Player of the Year. However, despite his accomplishments in the SEC, he just now became a household name after standout performances in the first two rounds of NCAA Tournament.
Underrated and overlooked, Thornwell and the Gamecocks continue to shock country and will face Gonzaga in the Final Four in hopes of a shot to play in the National Championship.
