The Barbados beauty is marking another milestone in her career with the third annual Diamond Ball, which will be held in New York City for the first time on Thursday, September 14th. Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty is the founder of The Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF), which she named after her grandparents in honor of supporting and funding effective education, health, and emergency response around the world. It’s one of numerous things Rihanna does to improve the quality of life for younger generations.
With two successful outcomes in the past, it’s only right that she continues on with the legacy. In 2015 Rihanna’s Diamond Ball gained over $3 million in donations for the CLF, in Los Angeles where it was held. This year, Rihanna decided to relocate for an even better view.
“New York always offers the perfect backdrop for an amazing event, which is why I am thrilled to have Diamond Ball there. It’s a great way to celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation’s accomplishments as well as bring awareness to our mission globally,” said the Barbados queen. “I know it’ll be a night to remember!”
Diamond Ball is a big event for not only Rihanna, but other celebs as well. The guest list in the past consisted of names such as; Tyga, Kylie, Kim Kardashian-West, Will & Jada Smith, Draya, Big Sean, Ne-Yo, Kevin Hart (hosted 2015), Lionel Richie (performed 2014), and more. Rihanna graced the stage at the extravagant event in 2014, maybe she’ll do the same this year.
