The end of Romo’s Dallas era has officially come. The Cowboys has notified Romo that he will be released into free agency on Thursday.
For many the decision came as no surprise, as Dallas yearns for a Super Bowl. Although Romo is the franchise’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns, he has not been able to obtain a championship. Dallas will now put their faith behind their new found savior, Dak Prescott will be coming off of a phenomenal rookie year.
Romo will likely find a new home in Denver, as the Broncos are in dire need of a veteran quarterback. Although Denver and Romo may be a nice match, only time will tell what is to come. We’ve included a link below to a short video courtesy of ESPN that speaks on the situation.
