Since Remy Ma has been released from jail in 2014, it has been insinuated that her and Nicki Minaj have been taking shots at one another indirectly. Remy has been stating lines in her songs about chicks with butt shots, while Nicki has been repeatedly calling girls her sons. Every time Remy would do an interview people would ask her, are you talking about Nicki Minaj? She’d say no, meanwhile Nicki doesn’t do interviews that often, so no one has ever gotten the chance to ask her who she’s talking about in her songs…
At this point, enough is enough and Remy is tired of all the back and forth antics. Today around 1 p.m. she took it to Twitter where she shared a link to her diss track to Nicki Minaj titled ‘ShETHER’. She even made sure to @ Nicki in the tweet so that she would be definite to see it. Unlike Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks, and other female rappers, Remy isn’t going to sit back and take keen to the subliminals for too long. Check out the link to ‘ShETHER’ on SoundCloud down below:
Now, if you were able to keep up then you know that tons of music was released this past Friday. Two of those songs had Nicki Minaj included in them, which are the two tracks that Remy addressed in her diss. Nicki was featured in a song with Ty Dolla $ign and Jason Derulo titled ‘Swalla’. In the song Nicki threw some subliminal shots, take a listen at the 2:15 mark:
In the song Nicki says, “I gave these b*tches two years, now your time’s up. Bless her heart, she throwing shots, but every line suck.” Who was she talking about? No one knows. Now, in the infamous new Gucci Mane record titled ‘Make Love,’ Nicki Minaj is featured on there as well, and she had some things to say on that track also, take a listen at the 1:43 mark:
In this particular song, Nicki Minaj threw shots the whole time, but a couple of lines that stood out the most — which probably got Remy all hyped up — was when she said, “Oh, you’re the queen of this here? One platinum plaque, album flopped, b*tch, where?” No one knows exactly if she’s talking about Remy, but Remy does only have one plaque, which is from ‘All the Way Up’ featuring Fat Joe, and her first and only album ‘There’s Something About Remy: Based on a True Story’ did flop. So, I guess if the shoe fits, wear it.
Do you think Nicki Minaj was talking about Remy? Do you think Remy bodied Nicki in her new diss? Who’s a better rapper, Nicki Minaj or Remy Ma? Let us know your thoughts.
