Donald Glover had a huge year in 2016. Glover created and stared in the hit show Atlanta arguably one of the best shows of the year, released of his third studio album Awaken, My Love and the announcement of his role as Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars movie. Now the Atlanta star has been cast as Simba in Disney’s remake of Lion King.
The new live-action version of Lion King which is directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book), is set for a 2018 release.
